After a year of silence, in blogging terms, my first post returns to my last topic - prayer. Starting each year by gathering our church members together in prayer has been a discipline throughout my ordained life, learned from one of my training incumbents.
In Bradley Stoke terms, we've prayed through two of the Bible's images of the church - the vine [2014] and the living temple [2015]. This year we continue the pattern, examining the imagery of the Body of Christ following Paul's teaching to the Corinthian church [1Cor12] and dipping into Ephesians 4 for our creative prayer time on Saturday.
Through our week, we look back in thanks for all God has been doing in building and equipping the body, and wait in expectant, listening prayer to his plans for us in the coming year and years.
Do join us in gathering [physically] for prayer. And if I keep to my intended routine, there will be daily updates here on our progression of prayer.
